Use of Artificial Intelligence
Blooming 9 News may use AI-assisted tools to support research, transcription, translation, headline development, summarization, image preparation, data organization or workflow efficiency. AI output is not treated as a verified source and does not replace human editorial responsibility.
Human Review
Material facts, names, dates, quotations, statistics and claims must be reviewed by a human editor before publication. We do not knowingly publish fabricated AI-generated quotations, sources, events or evidence.
Verification Standards
Information suggested by AI tools must be checked against credible primary or secondary sources before being used in a published report. For sensitive topics such as elections, health, crime, finance, public safety or geopolitics, additional source verification is required.
Translations and Summaries
AI-assisted translations and summaries should be reviewed for meaning, tone and factual consistency. Automated translation can introduce errors, especially with names, idioms and legal or technical language.
Images and Synthetic Media
AI-generated or materially altered images must not be presented in a way that could mislead readers into believing they are documentary photographs of real events. Where synthetic media plays a material role in a published item, we aim to disclose that clearly.
Disclosure
When AI plays a material role in creating content and disclosure would help readers understand how the work was produced, we aim to identify that use appropriately. Routine spelling, formatting or workflow assistance may not require individual disclosure.
