Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has ordered an inquiry into a reported discrepancy involving around 45 acres of land in Erravalli village of Siddipet district, close to the farmhouse of BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao.

The issue emerged during a survey of land records in Survey Number 325. Records reportedly indicated about 388 acres, while officials were able to identify roughly 343 acres on the ground.

Officials asked to verify records

The Chief Minister directed officials to examine possible irregularities in land records and to seek supporting documents from those connected with holdings in the area. The government has also said that any land identified as available through the survey process should be considered for eligible landless beneficiaries in accordance with law.

The matter is at the inquiry stage, and the findings of the official verification will determine whether any further action is required.

This report is based on October 7 reporting by The Indian Express on the Erravalli land survey and state government inquiry.
